This is why I haven’t left Prestwick. Not apathy or because I’m ‘unambitious.’ It’s… this. The beach. OK, sure, there are nicer beaches around the world, in Spain, in America. But this is MY beach. Mine.

One-act psychological romantic comedy. When two high school lovers reunite in Prestwick as adults, they find their lives have diverged in every imaginable way — but some feelings are impossible to leave in the past. The play explores themes of resentment, status, and what it means to have a home.

Performed at the Old Hairdressers’, Glasgow, May 2022.
